Long over due review from July 7 2024. We had a very large party and Sarah made this a awesome Experience. She was Personable had great suggestions, and had a sense of humor to deal with all of us. All around excellent service. Food and drinks were ok but the service is what I would Return for.

We were here on a Monday, and service was excellent. It's been a minute since I had been in, and was hoping it was still as good as I remember. And it really was! I got a shrimp plater, with lobster. 10/10. The portion was good for the price! I was pleasantly surprised. We also got some of the dips, also very good. Ambiance was super cute, just like I remember. Our server, Tanner was super attentive. He refilled out drinks often and checked in regularly. Happy with everything!

This is such a nice spot to dine. I met my family here and was so surprised to see a bride walk out of the bathroom when we were waiting for our table! It seems like they had a section of the restaurant reserved for the wedding which was cool. The waiter greeted us and asked if we had been there before and I think my dad said its been a few years. The waiter remarked well it must not be that good if you haven't been here in that long! The wiater seemed think that was so funny. It was such an akward way to start off the experience. We are locals so we don't go here that much. The food seems fine to me not like I can't wait to go again! Anyways, the food the rest of the experience was fine. My mom said her lobster seemed small, but she still seemed to enjoy it!

Good service, fun atmosphere, this drink is hilarious. A must try. Pricey but worth it. They havecyou gett ready forcthe group scream. Go during happy hour and get some "cheap eats" to go with it. We had the Voodoo Chickens fingers. Perfect. Great taste.

Joe's Crab Shack has been a local staple here in Oceanside for a very long time now. It's one of the first places I enjoyed eating when I first visited here over 6 years ago. Joe's Crab Shack is located in the Oceanside Harbor and it is definitely a tourist-driven restaurant. I'm not surprised because it is also a chain that is popular in California. This harbor location has a dining section that is upstairs on the second floor, with an iconic view overlooking the harbor itself. You can get a pleasurable view of the boats, people walking, birds and even seals swimming. After catching a gorgeous sunset, you can even enjoy the nightlife with all of the beautiful lights of the harbor. It's truly memorable. I also appreciate that the seating area is spacious and great for groups & families, but couples can also find a corner to be more intimate or sports fans can sit near the bar area. In addition, the entire area is enclosed in glass, so you get the views, but it's climate-controlled and you also don't have to deal with insects Their menu is extensive and there's something for everyone, but this place is DEFINITELY designed for seafood lovers. They also have gluten-free options and they even have burgers, pizza, tenders & pasta on their kids menu. The prices are fairly reasonable as well. I really love their Crab & Shrimp Nachos and Joe's Classic Sampler is great to try a little of everything. Many love their crab legs and seafood boils and some of their adult drinks are crazy entertaining (flashy lights & shark-sight projections). Service is excellent, even when crowded and I love that they help to celebrate special moments like birthdays & anniversaries with a personalized cheer & chant-request from the tables. It's fun to watch! All in all, I still like it at Joe's Crab Shack. I've heard that Joe's Crab Shacks have been closing down due to our economy. But I truly hope that our gem stays opened, because even though it's mostly touristy, it's still a place that has been opened for a long time and is part of the "character" of the Oceanside Harbor.

We visited Joe's crab shack for a date during a weekend stay in Oceanside. Joe's crab shack gave us such a lovely date experience . Sitting outdoors by the harbor really sets the mood . Our server was friendly and attentive. The salmon was outstanding and and the shrimp platter was big , fresh and delicious. We can't wait to eat here again when we visit Oceanside.
